Hey there! So happy to have you here! In case you missed my awkward little intro on the sidebar, my name's Bless. I grew up in the beautiful little city of Angeles. I’m currently taking BA Applied Psychology at the University of the Philippines Pampanga (Clark). Being a student, my life's pretty much mundane. I go from stressing over academic requirements to trying to squeeze in a little bit of adventure here and there. By adventures, I meant: trying out new cafes/restaurants and going to a different city. I also try to climb mountains and explore some islands whenever I can (or when my student budget permits it).
List of things that I used to love doing (and might love again if given more time and less stress): reading novels, crafting, DIY-ing everything, designing, thrift shopping.
What is The Submarin?
The Submarin serves as my online journal where I write about the interesting things that happen in my life, which you may or may not find interesting too. It is important to note that I post here the good bits of my life that I want to remember, so not everything you see is my whole life and personality. As much as possible, I try to write posts for documentation of my thoughts and experiences and not for the pleasure of the audience. I'd like to remain authentic as much as I can even though that's quite hard to achieve in the internet world nowadays.
I started blogging because my thirteen-year old self was so sentimental. I wanted to write every moment in order to remember and have something to look back to in the future. Tumblr became my diary then. Come 2013, I moved to a new tumblr blog, Wanderlass, where I tried to be less immature and learned to keep my private matters away from my blog. Unfortunately, I didn't feel authentic as I wrote in that blog, so I stopped. More than a year later, I had the urge to start blogging again because I wanted to keep recording my journey and share my experiences. And thus, the birth of this blog.
Why The Submarin?
My first twitter username was thesubmarin; I came up with it because of my last name. I thought of a lot more blog names but I felt like thesubmarin is the only name that perfectly encapsulates my whole personality, the one that makes me feel authentic.
